With over 26 years of experience owning and operating Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre, Carl Slater has built an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day challenges involved in managing safe, compliant and successful leisure facilities. His practical experience, combined with his technical expertise, gives him a unique perspective on the importance of reliable inspections, preventative maintenance and industry best practice.
Carl has extensive knowledge across the fitness, leisure and outdoor education sectors, specialising in climbing wall engineering, inspection, servicing and hydraulic automatic belay systems. Throughout his career, he has worked with activity centres, schools, local authorities, commercial leisure operators and independent facilities across the UK, providing specialist expertise in the design, maintenance and safe operation of climbing and adventure equipment.
Having spent more than two decades operating his own successful activity centre, Carl understands that inspections are about far more than compliance they're about protecting people, minimising downtime and giving operators complete confidence that their facilities are safe, reliable and ready for use.
Today, through SafetyInspect, Carl continues to support organisations throughout the UK with independent inspections, servicing and expert technical advice, helping clients maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.
